An abandoned secret
By Oksana Lebedivna on November 20, 2018
life is life
it comes as it goes
there’s nothing to regret
though she gets her shoes clean from snow
she gets back to it
so that she gets her shoes clean again
what’s weakness and what’s strength
was he weak since he was not able to
face love
when sky goes to pieces
it always snows
the love and sorrow are mixed up
in one little spot in nowhere
a taste of love at her fingertips
a smell of sorrow in her head
when she puts herself
into separate boxes somewhere in dirt
she keeps her mouth closed

Oksana Lebedivna
She lives in Kyiv and loves “Hamlet” by William Shakespeare and “Ulysses” by James Joyce / Homer. I am currently studying for Ph.D. in historical phonology of Ukrainian at National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. As it turned out, I also do a translation from Polish to Ukrainian. I have an overwhelming desire to understand her reading Joys and Shakespeare. But I’m not always getting her point well. Believe me, I’m not kidding you.
