In 10 Years from Now

By Anna Darsavelidze on November 19, 2018

The first meeting was like the feeling when you catch the glimpses of the sun in the holes made by leafless trees in the late autumn evening. Sometimes the girl was lost in the depth of the eyes that wasn’t hers but belonged to her. It happened so rarely that when her own heart was screaming very loudly, it seemed, the heart that wasn’t in her chest actually could hear it. That’s because one heart knew, the other didn’t.

The words from each other’s mouths crossed roads only once. Only once!

The fingers never felt each other’s warmth, nor one’s lips tasted the other.

Only the eyes. The eyes could wander like a lost man in a dark forest, looking for sunlight. They wandered and hoped they would find the safe haven.

Two hearts were so close, oh God, so close, but couldn’t even touch each other. Because the heart that knew was scared and the other didn’t even know that they fell in love with each other.

It happened so fast that it should have ended in the same pace. And it did.

The time ceased everything what hadn’t been started yet.

Two hearts broke up without the first date.

It is suspiciously interesting. Or, interestingly suspicious.

Who knows?
