On bodies
By Daria Piskozub on November 18, 2018
My body is the veil
Between the web that is my mind
And my heart that shouts in the distance.
For every pulse that runs through my essence
There is mind to weight it
And heart to detonate it
And for every small idea
My mind and my heart
Ask and ask
Look and look
For where it is that the spark is born
And how to bear it in the world.
Your body’s an avatar
Of all the thoughts I’ll never see
Of dreams and fears and words
That the body will not allow to tell me.
And when your body tells me
Only a small fraction of things you want to share
Mine will hear just a part
For all it really wants to hear
It will create itself.
