The Grand Final
Scene one: Out of the room
The end. The door opens. A male figure walking out. One hand holding a suitcase. The other hand in the pocket. Head down. The sound of footsteps.
Scene two: In the room
Too hot. The load noise of the opening window. Silence thickening. Heavy breath. A loud female scream. A closing window. Silent sobs. Fingers opening the bottom drawer. An album. Photographs being torn apart. One after one. More sobs. Another scream. Silence.
Scene three: Inside
A heart. Boom, boom, boom, boom. Louder. Loader. Loader. Crash. Crash. Total mess. Memories – one by one coming in and out. Pandemonium. Tears. Tears. Shout. Loader. A desire to disappear. To become nothing. To have never been born. A desire to make the world stop turning.
Scene four: In the room
Nothing at all. Emptiness. No feelings. No emotions. No pain. No tears. No dreams. Dull silence.
Scene five:
A phone call. Hesitation. Picking up. A male voice crashing from the other side. Female silence. Breathing in the phone. Male tears. Male voice. Female silence. The phone hanging up. Tooo – toooo – toooo…
Scene six:
The lights go off.
The end.
