What is Literature?
We want to be a good writer. Then let’s look at what literature is.
When I decided to study literature, I had the same question in my mind. Why was literature or literature for me? I was looking for objective answer. Objectivity was more satisfying people, but literature has nothing to do with objectivity. How can our handwriting, our signatures, our fingerprints differ from each other, but how can we objectively evaluate any part of a person’s imagination that has been spilled on paper? Literature is an art. This is something that is accepted. But when we take literature as art, we have some problems. According to some, literature should function as a function of pleasure, or have an aesthetic spirit, and should have different emotions and some think that have instructive and instructive effects on society. So where does this evaluation come from?
The children who start talking ask a lot of questions. Sometimes these questions arrive to the degree that will disturb their environment because they’re curious. They want to learn. They are just discovering the world and there are many things to ask. So is literature. Does he ask us a lot of questions? To me, literature is like chatting with a child. Children bear traces from us and they are the one who lives and creates our future. Like children, literature also speaks to us a lot. It makes us think, it asks us questions. Through literature, we ask questions about our past, present and future. There is no limit to literature as there is no limit to asking questions. It is a place to ask endless questions like the imagination world of children.
Also, literature is not a branch of science. Literature is not fragmented and indivisible. Literature cannot be studied in a single space in a single time and space. But there is objectivity in science. There is always a result. This is not the case in literature. Even if the intention of the author is a reason, anyone from a novel or story can produce different results. Science is separate from literature. Literature has a unifying structure but not a separator. We should come together much more and we must turn to things that unite us from wrong policies and borders. It is literature that makes it the best. Then let’s do literature.
