Alara Cikinci

a small pergola enclosed with wooden fences, a ten-person table arranged for small gatherings, a four-shelf bookcase with antique metal utensils on it, wooden tables scattered across uneven terrain each at different heights, upside-down seashell ashtrays on each table, decorative ethnic rugs hanging on the surrounding walls, butterflies signaling the arrival of summer fluttering around, a variety of trees complemented by a vigorous ivy that greens the environment, a spiral staircase leading to a long but narrow balcony with rows of wooden tables, cheerful conversations and laughter blending with the continuous sound of water flowing from an unknown source, and just when you think it’s getting too hot, a gentle breeze tickling your skin…

one of the most beautiful gardens i have ever seen in my life.

i’m a 22 years old sociology student. i live in istanbul and go to yeditepe university.
