In 10 Years from Now
In 10 years from now we will be in our thirties.
May be we will have our dream jobs, we will be published writers, some of us will have beloved families, others will choose to see the world or to stick to one particular place.
In 10 years from now, we will know much more than we know now as we’ll have experienced so many things. We will be loved but we will know what betrayal feels like. We will have friends and be friends but we will find out what treachery means. We will have dearest people around, though we will know the pain of losing and letting go.
In 10 years we will be happy but will have a huge place in ourselves for sadness and melancholy. We will know about suffering, failure, of breaking into pieces but we’ll learn how to look at every day with a new hope.
We will change a lot but remain the same at some point.
In 10 years from now, we will miss those whom we’ve never met since then or met but still have the feeling that it wasn’t enough.
We will never forget a girl who dances like a star, or the one who is constantly curious, or another who is beautiful as a forest in autumn.
We will never forget a boy who never lets go of his Polaroid, or the one who finds weird holes in unknown places or, another who has glasses like Harry Potter.
We will miss the time when we were so sleepy and tired, but still wanted to hang out and chat, as if, unconsciously we knew that may be these days were the last days that we’d see each other. Or may be not, who knows.
In 10 years from now we will still have the slight memories of the night when we were sweating from partying hard, though, like Cinderella, dancing continued only till midnight. Or, the time when we were so tired from the day’s trip, however, still preferred to be together in the evening trying to figure out the amazing world of mathematics when playing Truth or Dare.
We will never forget the first snow together, freezing cold and, most importantly, cozy evenings in a living room with pen, paper and a cup of tea.
In 10 years from now, we will be God knows where and how, but sometimes, especially when looking at breathtaking mountainous views, we will smile, gently at first and widely later, because we will remember the amazing kids and unforgettable memories with them in a place which looked like a fairy-tale.
